Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Neil Drake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Victor Szczęsny!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Szczęsny uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Drake.

Szczęsny closes the distance and clinches.
Drake stalling in the clinch but Szczęsny improves position.
Szczęsny lands a right hand that snaps the head of Drake backwards.
Szczęsny doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Drake taking a breather.
Szczęsny lands a nice elbow.
Drake is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Szczęsny is keeping busy.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Drake throws a lazy right hand but Szczęsny sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Szczęsny looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Szczęsny has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Szczęsny moves away from the strike by Drake.
Drake avoids the body shot from Szczęsny.
Drake is looking to counter punch.
Szczęsny gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Drake.

Drake changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Szczęsny looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Szczęsny is not content to let Drake control the position.

Drake working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Drake tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Drake has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Szczęsny tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Drake wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Drake wants to work for an arm triangle but Szczęsny is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Szczęsny wants to improve his position but Drake is controlling well.

Szczęsny is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Szczęsny is looking to control Drake's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Szczęsny avoid being mounted?

That was a close round but I would say that Neil Drake will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Szczęsny fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Drake manages to avoid it.

Drake with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Szczęsny to score with a decent uppercut.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close second round but I would say that Neil Drake will probably get the nod.

Drake jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Szczęsny walks away with a smile on his face. Drake gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Drake closes this distance looking for a takedown but Szczęsny circles away.

Szczęsny connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Szczęsny swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Drake.

Szczęsny drops Drake with a beautiful combination! Drake stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Szczęsny is looking for the KO!

and Szczęsny counters with a head kick from the bowels of hell that crumples Drake! This one is all over!

Victor Szczęsny took his opportunity to call for a title shot in his post fight interview.
