Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roger Cantor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonas Putin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Putin has chosen "Ace of Spades" by Motorhead as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roger Cantor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 20 - 1, fighting out of London, Jonas Putin!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Cantor misses.
Cantor misses with an uppercut
and Putin counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Cantor moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Cantor shoots in looking for a takedown but Putin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Cantor's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Cantor shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Putin is trying to defend but Cantor finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Cantor scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Cantor closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Putin quickly recovers to half guard.
Putin tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Cantor manages to move to mount!
Cantor lands a big shot there that rocks Putin but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Putin is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Cantor looking to ground and pound but Putin is blocking nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cantor sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Putin wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Cantor.

Cantor looking to ground and pound but Putin is blocking nicely.
Putin wants to try and get back to his feet.

Putin holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Cantor tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Cantor is landing with some decent strikes but Putin is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Cantor lands a big shot there that rocks Putin but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Cantor unloads with some shots from mount but Putin bucks and avoids them well.

Putin's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Cantor can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Putin is looking to escape.
Cantor is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Putin is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Putin feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Cantors jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Putin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cantor.
Cantor goes for a double leg but Putin avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Putin continues to drive forward.

Cantor was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Cantor dives in for a single leg takedown but Putin sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Putin manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Putin is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Putin's coach down at Vendetta Alliance London Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Putin's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Cantor goes for a takedown attempt but Putin pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Cantor throws a shot from downtown. Putin moves away and avoids it.
Cantor is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Putin can do to turn this around?

Cantor is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Jonas Putin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Roger Cantor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Putin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cantor.
Putin swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Putin lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

and Putin counters with a stiff right hand.
Cantor dives in and grabs Putin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Putin pushes down on Cantor's head and hops out.

Cantor seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Cantor has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Putin is working away from the top position though.

Cantor makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Cantor.

Jonas Putin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Putin has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
