Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rolando Bullock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Monk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Monk comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Oh When The Saints kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Will Monk looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Rolando Bullock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Will Monk!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monk slaps away a takedown attempt from Bullock, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Bullock shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Bullock was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
A lull in the action here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bullock creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Monk is trying to escape the position but Bullock is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Monk wants to get back to his feet.

Bullock controlling the position.
Bullock knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Monk on the ground.

Bullock wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Monk, who protects the arm well.
Bullock is staying tight to Monk's torso, preventing him from escaping.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The strikes coming from Bullock are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Bullock is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Monk has escaped the position, nice work there.

Bullock stands up.
Bullock shoots in looking for a takedown but Monk manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bullock's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Monk shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bullock napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Monk looks winded!
Monk is looking to take a break and control but Bullock is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Monk wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bullock keeps working.
Bullock really is a fat lump.
Bullock is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bullock is working hard here to advance position.
Monk is looking to take a break and control but Bullock is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bullock is looking to reverse the position.
You can see the frustration on Bullock's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Monk controls the position.

Monk looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Bullock is looking for a sweep.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bullock wants to control but Monk postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Will Monk will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Monk closes the distance and pushes Bullock back into the cage.
Monk can't break the clinch.
Bullock misses with a short punch on the inside.

Monk pulls guard successfully.
Monk wants to get back to his feet but Bullock is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Monk is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Bullock stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Monk is breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Monk stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Monk wants it to stay on the feet.

Monk gets a double leg takedown into Bullock's guard.
Bullock controlling the position.

Bullock is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
We've been informed that Monk has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Bullock seems to be working for a kimura but Monk defends the submission attempt.
Monk is trying to stand back up but Bullock is controlling him
Bullock content to control rather than advance.
Monk tries to kick Bullock off but Bullock keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Bullock with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Bullock seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Monk for as long as he can get away with.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Monk gets a double leg takedown into Bullock's guard.
Bullock wants to sweep but no luck.
Bullock might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Bullock looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Bullock tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Monk is stalling in the full guard.
Monk wants to control from the top but Bullock keeps moving.
Monk is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Monk has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bullock looking for a sweep. Not yet Bullock, not yet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Will Monk showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!



Bullock tries to keep at a distance but Monk has taken the fight into the clinch.
Monk blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Monk jumps guard.
Will Monk has got the better of the ground game so far.

Bullock drops back looking for a leg! Monk is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Monk manages to kick Bullock off! Bullock jumps back into Monk's guard.
Bullock has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Bullock controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Bullock has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Monk takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Monk is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bullock is controlling him.
Bullock stays in close to Monk's body and controls the position.
Bullock won't allow Monk to get back to his feet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Bullock bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Monk sneaks out the side door and pushes Bullock away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Bullock closes the distance and clinches.

Monk turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Monk manages to end up in side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bullock can't do much from the bottom here.
Bullock tries to buck Monk off but Monk is having none of it.

Bullock wants to control but Monk is having none of it.
Bullock is squirming around, avoiding Monk's attempts to control the action.
Monk prevents Bullock from getting the reversal.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Bullock regains half guard.
Bullock is trying to control but can't.
Monk performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Monk is thwarting Bullock's attempts to control the position.
Bullock is looking for a sweep. Monk is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bullock is staying active underneath Monk, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Rolando Bullock has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Will Monk is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Monk closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Will Monk comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Monk has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Will Monk was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
