The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cavendish keeps Zero at a distance using the push kick.
Cavendish looks to land a combination but Zero avoids it well.
It looked like Zero wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Cavendish connects with a leg kick. Zero looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Cavendish lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Cavendish will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Cavendish throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Zero on the side of the head.
Zero is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Oooooh!!! Cavendish has knocked Zero down with a huge combo! Cavendish steps away and waves a wobbly Zero back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Travis Zero has been cut.
Marcel Cavendish is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cavendish lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Zero up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Cavendish from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Zero's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
