Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Locke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Money (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Locke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, DJ Money!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Money closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Locke to the mat! Locke manages to get full guard.
Money looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Locke wants to get back to his feet but Money is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Locke controls Money momentarily but Money frees himself.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Locke is looking to stand up but Money isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Locke shoots in and bounces Money off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Locke stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Money swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Locke drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Money manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Locke has Money in his guard.

Money is fighting to break Locke's control of his arms but Locke is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Locke controls Money momentarily but Money frees himself.
Locke wants to stand and escape but Money is having none of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Locke not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Locke is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Money is controlling him.
Locke trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Money slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Money makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Locke is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Money is controlling him.

Locke looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Money tries to score with a low kick but Locke moves his leg out of the way.
Money has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Locke is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Locke tries to sprawl but Money drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Locke manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Money keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Money is pressed up against the cage. Locke has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Money down to the mat. Money avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Money throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Locke.
Locke fails to land the takedown.
Locke shoots in and drives through. Money sprawls well.

Money closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Money trying to mount his opponent but Locke defends it.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Locke shoots in for a takedown but Money shows good takedown defense.
Locke goes for a double leg but Money avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Money continues to drive forward.
Money swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Locke wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Locke throws a low kick but Money avoids it.
Money appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Locke with a lazy takedown attempt
and Money counters with a stiff right hand.

Money stuffs the takedown attempt from Locke. Locke gets slowly back to his feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Locke dives in and grabs Money's left leg, looking for a takedown. Money pushes down on Locke's head and hops out.

Money throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Locke tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Money is in Locke's guard.

Locke is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Money asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Locke tries to score a body lock takedown but Money shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Money turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Money manages to end up in side control.

Locke pushes Money away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Money gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Money tries to score with some ground and pound. Locke controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Locke swings around for an armbar but Money sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Locke's guard.
Locke pulls Money in close to his closed guard and prevents Money from doing any damage or advancing position.

Money slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Money tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Money has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Money has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Money dives in and grabs Locke's left leg, looking for a takedown. Locke pushes down on Money's head and hops out.
Locke tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Money manages to circle out of the way.

Locke shoots in for a takedown but Money shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

DJ Money comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Money has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
