The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Shepard looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Shepard takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Shepard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Shashi closes the distance but Shepard moves to the side

and Shepard counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Shashi controls Shepard momentarily but Shepard frees himself.

Shepard decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Shashi scores with a hook to the body. Shepard takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Shashi connects with a body shot that sends Shepard's belly button to the back.
The fight stays on the outside here - Shashi looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Shashi bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Shepard's head backwards.
Shashi lands with a good body shot.
Shepard fails to land the takedown.
Shashi lands a hook that stumbles Shepard back into the cage. Shashi follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Shepard to the canvas! Shashi pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Shepard has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
