Menthol has chosen Bathory - Woman Of Dark Desires as his entrance music. Marlboro Menthol is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Menthol swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

James gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Menthol drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Menthol jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Menthol thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Menthol throws a hook but James blocks it.

James breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

James ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

James shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. James showed some decent athleticism there.

Menthol is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but James pulls his head out easily.
Menthol moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Menthol working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. James doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. James manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Menthol looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! James has picked Menthol up and slammed him! Menthol can't keep hold of the triangle and James manages to pass to side control!

James is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Menthol is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
James throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
James throwing strikes but Menthol manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
James on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if James tries to get out of the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Menthol quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Menthol but it's paid off an James is forced to tap! Nice work by Menthol.
