The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Battle swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A looping hook to the body misses from Battle. Starrett does a little dance to reset his feet.
Starrett wants to counter the offense by Battle and move into the clinch position.

Starrett gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Starrett wants to take the fight to the mat but Battle manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Battle pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Battle throws a big shot that misses.
Battle waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Starrett.
Battle lands with a straight right. Starrett didn't see that one coming.

It looks like Sorley Starrett has been cut.

Battle lands a big uppercut and Starrett crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Starrett looks OK. Battle waves Starrett back to his feet!

Starrett is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Battle is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Starrett flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Starrett is out cold! Battle holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Dre Battle decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
