Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anton Kovalev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noah Jaccard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anton Kovalev had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.6lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Noah Jaccard has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kovalev ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jaccard moves away.
Kovalev throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jaccard.
Kovalev throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kovalev dodges the punch combination from Jaccard.
Nice straight punches there by Jaccard. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Jaccard.
Jaccard displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kovalev throws out the jab.

Kovalev seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Jaccard dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kovalev. That did some damage!

Jaccard is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Kovalev had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Kovalev looks to land a combination. Jaccard sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Jaccard fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kovalev has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Kovalev is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jaccard.
Kovalev on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Kovalev cracks Jaccard with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Jaccard feints and then cracks Kovalev's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kovalev down.
Kovalev stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jaccard.

Jaccard throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Kovalev's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Kovalev duly obliges.
Jaccard lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Oh Kovalev is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
