PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rolando Bullock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doom Sayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Rolando Bullock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Doom Sayer!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Ackerman and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bullock doesn't manage to clinch there - Sayer circles away.
Sayer changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Doom Sayer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sayer fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bullock to the ground. Sayer is now in Bullock's guard.
Sayer wants to control from the top but Bullock keeps moving.
Bullock throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Bullock really is a fat lump.
Sayer tries to stand but Bullock is controlling from the bottom.
Bullock has Sayer pulled in close to control his posture.
Bullock keeping moving, preventing Sayer from controlling successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sayer trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bullock is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Bullock has a takedown stuffed.

Sayer looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Bullock!
Bullock manages to get back to half guard.
Bullock trying to control here.
Sayer is trying to control the action in half guard but Bullock is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Sayer trying to advance position but Bullock counters by regaining guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Sayer has gone for a leg lock! Bullock slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sayer's guard.


Bullock stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Bullock takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Sayer scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bullock doesn't seem bothered though.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Sayer.
Bullock is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sayer tries to stand but Bullock controls the position and pulls Sayer into his guard.
Bullock wants to improve his position but instead Sayer has moved into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bullock wants to get back to full guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Bullock moves into full guard.
Bullock might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Sayer wants to control from the top but Bullock keeps moving.
Sayer might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bullock haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Bullock is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Sayer gets to his feet - Bullock follows without any prompting.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bullock shoots for a double leg takedown but Sayer sprawls well. He's pushed Bullock's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Sayer closes the distance and clinches.
Sayer lands a nice uppercut.

Sayer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Sayer darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Sayer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bullock does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sayer wants to stand up but Bullock is controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Doom Sayer dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Sayer clinches.
A head punch on the inside from Bullock fails to land.

Sayer lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Bullock tries to roll over but Sayer keeps him under control.
Bullock is pressing down on Sayer's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Bullock trying to keep a closed guard but Sayer is proving a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sayer makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Sayer trying to move into half guard but instead Bullock has managed to sweep!


That's one minute gone in the round.
Bullock stopping the sweep attempt from Sayer.
Sayer is trying to hold Bullock in close to prevent damage but Bullock has managed to pass into half guard.
Bullock is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Sayer is looking to escape.
Sayer has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Bullock wants to take a breather but Sayer is having none of it.
Sayer is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Bullock is trying to work for a kimura but Sayer is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bullock slows the pace down in half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sayer kicks off Bullock and gets to his feet.

Sayer gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Sayer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Sayer darts in and clinches Bullock up against the cage.
Bullock has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Sayer is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Sayer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Sayer throws a right and a left that Bullock avoids nicely.
Bullock is looking to clinch.
Sayer scores with a jab. Bullock acknowledges it with a nod of the head.


It looks like Rolando Bullock has been cut.

Sayer moves into range and clinches up with Bullock.

Sayer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bullock has his takedown stuffed
and Sayer counters with a stiff right hand.
Sayer goes for a small jab and connects. Now Sayer goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Bullock stumbles back but Sayer runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Bullock to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Bullock will ever be the same after a knockout like that.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Doom Sayer!
