The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

swuave shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
swuave trying to control but Schacter is working from the bottom.

Schacter has his foot on swuave's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. swuave works his way back into a safe position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Schacter clinches up with swuave and pushes him back against the cage.

Schacter tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. swuave smiles and moves away.
swuave looks to land a combination but Schacter avoids it well.

Schacter stuffs the takedown attempt from swuave. swuave gets slowly back to his feet.

swuave throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.

swuave manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
swuave has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
swuave throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Schacter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for swuave on the ground.
Schacter wants to improve his position but swuave is controlling well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
swuave gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Schacter decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in swuave's guard.
Schacter is breathing heavily.

swuave has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Schacter can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
