The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tarfel shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Smut as he avoids it easily.
Tarfel fails with a takedown attempt.
A little jabbing left from Smut on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Smut throws out a powerful jab.
Tarfel shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smut but Smut pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Petey Tarfel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smut misses the shot to the body.
Tarfel shoots for a double leg takedown but Smut sprawls well. He's pushed Tarfel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Tarfel takes a swing at Smut's ribcage but misses.
Smut throws out a counter right but Tarfel avoids it with no problem.
Smut feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Tarfels jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Tarfel gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Smut connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Tarfel shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smut but Smut pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Smut swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Smut digs a good hook to Tarfel's body.
Tarfel is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Maxi Smut is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Tarfel throws out a leg kick but Smut moves out of range and Tarfel only half commits.
Smut scores with a nice head shot.
Tarfel has his takedown stuffed
and Smut counters with a huge left! Tarfel is in big trouble! He's backing up but Smut isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Tarfel from any more damage. A dominating finish by Smut!
