The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tevez looks to land a combination but Mahrous avoids it well.
Tevez misses with a two punch combination.
Mahrous steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Tevez.
Tevez misses with a series of wild punches.
Mahrous is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Tevez throws a nice looking combination but Mahrous bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Tevez tries to bum rush Mahrous with a series of wild strikes but Mahrous uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Mahrous looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Mahrous tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tevez swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Tevez misses with the combination.
Tevez is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Tevez enables Mahrous to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tevez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Mahrous drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Mahrous as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Tevez screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Mahrous! Nice submission victory there!

In defeat, Jose Tevez stepped up to the mic, saying 'I come from a country where life not matter what happens if you get hit you get the f*** back up! I may have lost today but I will not stop, my people are born fighters and I plan on paving the way for all Colombians!'.
