Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vien Chi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deair Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chi comes to the cage accompanied by Glorious. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Vien Chi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Deair Shaw!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Josh West and Chris Saunders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Chi looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Chi tries to clinch up.
Shaw avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Shaw throws a head kick that misses.
As Shaw looks to move away, Chi throws a big counter combo but Shaw just gets out of the way.
Chi scores with a kick to the midsection.
Chi darts in trying to clinch
and Shaw counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Chi is looking to clinch.

Shaw darts in and clinches Chi up against the cage.
Shaw can't get the takedown.
Shaw blocking some punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chi lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Chi has had enough of the clinch but Shaw keeps him there for the moment.
A head punch on the inside from Chi fails to land.
Shaw drops down looking for an ankle pick but Chi pulls his leg out and moves away.
Chi moves in looking to clinch but Shaw pushes him off.

Shaw gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Chi lands a nice elbow.

It looks like Deair Shaw has been cut.
Shaw drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Vien Chi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Deair Shaw.
Chi connects with a nasty looking knee right to Shaw's face.
Shaw looks winded!
Chi lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Shaw backwards.
A right hand to the body from Chi.
Shaw jumps guard but Chi stands there with Shaw around his waist. Shaw gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Chi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Shaw shoots in for a takedown but Chi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Chi clinches.
Chi gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Chi lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Chi lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Chi creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Shaw's defenses.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Chi works on Shaw's body with a couple of short punches.
Chi lands a knee to the head.
A knee to the head by Chi.

Shaw is rocked!
Chi lands a big knee! That's hurt Shaw! Oh, he's all over the place! Chi lands another knee that sends Shaw to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vien Chi!
After winning the bout, Vien Chi thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
