Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Calvin King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Pierno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King comes to the cage accompanied by ROAR by Katy Perry. Pierno has chosen Umberto Tozzi - Gloria as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Pierno misses.
Pierno swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and King counters with a left to the body.

and Pierno makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
King ducks right into an uppercut from Pierno.
Good leg kick by King there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
King lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Pierno has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Pierno might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, King has got the better of the exchanges.

Pierno connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent King tumbling to the canvas! Pierno pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! King was done - good stoppage!
