The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dennis leaves Silva with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Dennis half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Silva fails with a takedown attempt.
Dennis moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Alberto Silva has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters circle momentarily. Dennis darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Silva looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Silva advances position into side control!
Dennis is trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva advances to full mount.
Dennis is wriggling around trying to escape.
Silva controlling the pace for now.
Silva takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.

Silva trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Dennis doesn't escape.
It looks like Silva might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Silva is cranking Dennis's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Dennis! He's tightened the choke and Dennis is tapping out!
