The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Westlund scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Alderich throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Alderich. Westlund does a little dance to reset his feet.
Westlund clobbers Alderich with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Westlund fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Alderich looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Alderich tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Alderich has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Alderich uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Westlund has time to react.

Westlund takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

A solid leg kick lands there for Alderich.
Westlund throws a sloppy head kick and Alderich moves out of range easily.
Westlund throws a lazy right hand but Alderich sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Westlund lands a nice hook to Alderich's body. Alderich takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Westlund takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

and Westlund counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Alderich tries to score with a low kick but Westlund moves his leg out of the way.
Westlund moves out of range as Alderich throws a body kick.
Alderich throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Westlund checks a low kick from Alderich.
A bone on bone clash there as Westlund blocks the leg kick.
Alderich feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Westlund's calf.
Westlund throws the left hand but Alderich avoids the punch easily.
Alderich looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Westlund lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
A solid leg kick lands there for Alderich.
A slow jab from Alderich misses its intended target.
Westlund cracks Alderich with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Alderich tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Westlund pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Alderich is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Loke Westlund!
An out of breath Loke Westlund thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
