And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Solomon Wayne!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wayne avoids a punch combination nicely.

Rodriguez shoots in and gets a takedown into Wayne's guard.
Rodriguez with a flurry of punches that miss.
Rodriguez stays in close to Wayne's body and controls the position.
Rodriguez makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Rodriguez forces his way into half guard.

Rodriguez is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Wayne sees it coming and defends easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rodriguez not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Rodriguez perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Rodriguez seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Wayne for as long as he can get away with.
Rodriguez wants to stand up but Wayne has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Rodriguez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wayne keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wayne slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Rodriguez looking to sit in guard and control but Wayne gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Wayne throwing strikes from guard but Rodriguez blocks nicely.

Wayne working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Rodriguez is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wayne is controlling him.

Wayne gets to his feet. Rodriguez looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Wayne closes the distance looking to clinch
letting Rodriguez counter with a right hand.
Rodriguez feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Waynes jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Rodriguez keeps the fight on the outside.
A combination from Rodriguez does no damage.
Rodriguez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wayne circles away quickly and effectively.
Rodriguez cracks Wayne with an open hand slap.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wayne has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Wayne is rocked!
Rodriguez grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Wayne takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Rodriguez cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
