Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Octavio Orr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bam Bam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Octavio Orr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bam Bam!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Sergei Dronov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bam shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Orr is trying to keep Bam in close.
Orr looking for a sweep. Not yet Orr, not yet.
Orr working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bam.

Bam decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Orr, up you get!

Bam shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Orr has his feet on Bam's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bam is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Bam throws an elbow that misses. Orr uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bam's guard. Nice move by Orr!

Bam tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Orr stays in close to Bam's body and controls the position.
Bam looking to hit a scissor sweep but Orr is one step ahead there.

Bam is trying to keep Orr in close.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Orr gets a takedown into half guard.
Orr wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bam keeps working.
Orr is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Orr prevents Bam from improving his position.
Orr keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bam keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Bam has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Orr is working away from the top position though.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Bam closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Octavio Orr will probably get the nod.

Orr is fighting to break Bam's control of his arms but Bam is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Octavio Orr is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Bam looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Orr pushes Bam off and gets back to his feet.
Orr shoots in for a double leg but Bam sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Bam throws a head kick but Orr moves out of range.
A little feinted left hand from Orr on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Orr has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Bam.
Bam does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Orr tries to clinch but Bam moves out of range.
Orr shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bam defends it nicely.

Bam feints and as Orr raises his hands in defense, Bam changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bam is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Orr is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Orr striking off his back but it's not causing Bam any problems.
Orr has momentary wrist control but Bam slips an elbow through the middle.
Bam won't allow Orr to get back to his feet.
Bam scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Bam is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Orr is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Bam postures up.

The fight stays on the outside here - Orr looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Orr shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bam manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Orr looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Bam seems keen to control Orr's posture.

Bam has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Orr can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Bam is pulling down on Orr's head. It's preventing any offense from Orr, at least for the moment.

Bam Bam showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Orr might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Orr has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Bam drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Orr manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bam has Orr in his guard.

Orr is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Orr seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bam for as long as he can get away with.

Bam controls Orr momentarily but Orr frees himself.

Orr is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

and Bam holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Bam has picked Orr up - he's going for a ride! Bam dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Bam shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Orr manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Bam takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Orr is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bam is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Bam must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Bam keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Orr's head.

Bam slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Orr holds on and takes a little breather.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Bam Bam comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Bam has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
