Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dominick De Struicao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think De Struicao might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Walk With Me In Hell. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Struicao tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Lewis throws a counter combo.
De Struicao works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Lewis lands with a nice body kick.
De Struicao is looking to chop away at Lewis's legs.
Lewis throws a fast counter high kick but De Struicao manages to duck under it in time.
De Struicao tries to score with a low kick but Lewis moves his leg out of the way.

De Struicao connects with a good right hand that stumbles Lewis. Lewis circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Lewis takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
De Struicao scores with the left hand. Lewis knows he should have avoided that one.
De Struicao throws an overhand right that lands on Lewis's shoulder, as Lewis tries to avoid the shot.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Lewis lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Lewis on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
De Struicao walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Lewis checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
And Lewis responds with a good body kick, but De Struicao manages to step out the way in time.

and Lewis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A bone on bone clash there as Lewis blocks the leg kick.
Lewis steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
De Struicao pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
De Struicao throws a nice inside leg kick.
Lewis throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Lewis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but De Struicao paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Lewis counters with a good low kick that De Struicao was not able to check.

De Struicao catches Lewis with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

De Struicao slips a straight right by Lewis.
De Struicao throws a shot from downtown. Lewis moves away and avoids it.
Lewis replies with a solid counter kick to the body but De Struicao blocks it well.
Lewis takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Lewis has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

De Struicao fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

De Struicao wants to land a leg kick but Lewis is out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dominick De Struicao dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

De Struicao throws a solid leg kick but Lewis takes the impact on his shin and smiles at De Struicao.
De Struicao looks to throw the jab but Lewis is out of range.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Lewis in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

De Struicao is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lewis can do to turn this around?

De Struicao cracks Lewis on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Lewis falls backwards against the cage. De Struicao follows up with more strikes that drop Lewis to his knees. De Struicao keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Lewis! This one is all over!

Dominick De Struicao decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
