Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ray Pearson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sasha Dulin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ray Pearson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sasha Dulin!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dulin walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Pearson checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Dulin has managed to clinch.

Dulin decides to pull guard.
Dulin wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Dulin trying to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pearson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Pearson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Pearson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pearson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Pearson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Dulin lands a couple of elbows.
Dulin looking to sit in guard and control but Pearson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Pearson stands up over Dulin, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Pearson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Dulin is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Dulin has escaped and now he's on top!

Pearson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dulin controls the pace.

Pearson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Dulin's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Dulin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Dulin is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Pearson blocks a low kick nicely.

Pearson doesn't manage to clinch there - Dulin circles away.
Dulin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pearson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Pearson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Sasha Dulin dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Dulin fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Pearson to the ground. Dulin is now in Pearson's guard.
Pearson is pulling down on Dulin's head to control his posture.

Dulin drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Pearson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dulin has Pearson in his guard.

Pearson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Dulin is proving hard to escape from.

Pearson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Dulin is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Pearson, into his guard.

Dulin is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dulin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Pearson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Dulin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Pearson napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Dulin tries to score with some ground and pound. Pearson controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Dulin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Pearson isn't going anywhere.

Sasha Dulin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Pearson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Dulin uses from the top position.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Dulin in particular looking to stall.

Ray Pearson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Sasha Dulin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Dulin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
