Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Heriberto Howe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bobby Jack!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jack has a takedown stuffed.
Howe shoots for a double leg takedown but Jack sprawls well. He's pushed Howe's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jack throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Howe cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jack tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jack shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Howe but Howe pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Howe shoots for a takedown but Jack saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jack is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Howe can't fight it off and eventually Jack manages to take the fight to the floor. Howe looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Howe is in close to Jack's body, working some short punches and elbows.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
