Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Penoir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Evan Kennedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kennedy has chosen Kernkraft 400 (Sport Chant Stadium Remix) by Zombie Nation as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kennedy shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kennedy showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kennedy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kennedy has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kennedy and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Kennedy drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kennedy jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Penoir wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Kennedy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Penoir gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
