PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pappi Laurent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hakeem Bodman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pappi Laurent had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.6lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bodman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Laurent looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Bodman misses with a takedown attempt - Laurent sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Laurent tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bodman swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Laurent scores with a jab.
Laurent looks to score with a jab to the body but Bodman is just out of range.

Bodman shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bodman was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Bodman works his way to his opponent's back.

Bodman looking for the choke but no joy.

Laurent is trying to defend against the choke here but Bodman has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Bodman Tightens the hold and Laurent taps out furiously! Bodman displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
