Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Robinson Crowell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taurus Bull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taurus Bull has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Robinson Crowell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Taurus Bull!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bull shoots for a double leg takedown but Crowell sprawls well. He's pushed Bull's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Crowell looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bull.
Bull misses with a head kick.
Bull throws the kick towards the body but Crowell avoids it.
Crowell swats away the attempt to clinch by Bull.
Bull shoots for a double leg takedown but Crowell sprawls well. He's pushed Bull's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Robinson Crowell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Taurus Bull.
Bull fails with an attempt to clinch.
Horrible takedown by Bull or perhaps it was just good defense by Crowell which made him look bad.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bull uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Crowell.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bull is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Crowell is controlling him.
Bull is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Bull keeping moving, preventing Crowell from controlling successfully.
Bull wants to sweep but no luck.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Crowell showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Bull.
Nice takedown defense from Crowell. No joy for Bull on that attempt.
Bull doesn't manage to clinch there - Crowell circles away.
Crowell avoids the head kick by Bull.
Bull changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Crowell tries to avoid it but Bull manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Crowell to the ground. Crowell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bull looks for a takedown but Crowell sprawls well.
Bull closes the distance but Crowell moves to the side

and Crowell counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Crowell postures up and lands a big shot to Bull's brow.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bull is on top in guard.
Crowell striking off his back but it's not causing Bull any problems.
Bull wants to get up but he can't break Crowell's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Bull tries for a takedown but Crowell circles away easily

and Crowell holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Bull wants to get back to striking at distance but Crowell won't allow it.
Crowell can't get the takedown.
Bull is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
With the fighters up against the cage, Bull throws an elbow but misses.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Crowell jumps guard but Bull stands there with Crowell around his waist. Crowell gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Crowell drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bull pulls his leg out and moves away.

Bull has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Crowell uses from the top position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bull is trying to keep Crowell in close.

Bull throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Crowell's waist but Crowell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bull off to one side.
Bull shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Crowell as he jumps to the side.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Crowell goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

and Crowell counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Crowell.
Bull has Crowell pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Crowell manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Bull wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Crowell has him pressed against the cage.
Bull tries to score a body lock takedown but Crowell shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Crowell manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Bull tries to clinch up but Crowell circles away and keeps his distance.

Crowell drives through and clinches with Bull against the cage.

Crowell jumps guard and drags Bull to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Crowell wants to stand but Bull is controlling the position.
Crowell pulls Bull in close to prevent any damage.
Bull is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Bull passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Crowell is looking to regain half guard here but Bull keeps moving and retains side control.
Bull is looking to take a break and control but Crowell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bull wants to stand but Crowell has his arm trapped.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Crowell is trying to improve his position.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Bull is looking to take a break and control but Crowell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Crowell wants to control but Bull postures up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Bull dips to his left and cracks Crowell with an uppercut!
Bull looks to clinch

and Crowell counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Crowell.
Bull has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Crowell is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Bull wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Crowell has him pressed against the cage.
Bull is looking to break free of the clinch but Crowell has double underhooks.

Bull tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Crowell just stands there and leans against the cage.

Crowell prevents a takedown attempt there.
Bull fails to pull guard.
Bull is pressed up against the cage. Crowell has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bull down to the mat. Bull avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Bull has a takedown stuffed.
Crowell shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bull but Bull pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Robinson Crowell is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

and Crowell counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bull won't be happy with that.

Robinson Crowell showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Crowell has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
