The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gomes unleashes a big counter combination but Johnson bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Gomes manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Johnson on his heels. He'll look to pass Johnson's guard now, I'm sure.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gomes.
Anthony Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eli Gomes.
Johnson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Gomes goes for a double leg but Johnson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Johnson continues to drive forward.

Johnson cracks Gomes with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Gomes falls to his knees and Johnson doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
