The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Gracie really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
marlow shoots in but no luck this time.
marlow has Gracie up against the cage in a clinch.
Gracie has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but marlow regains guard immediately.
Gracie trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Gracie is pushing down on marlow's leg trying to pass to half guard. marlow is fighting to maintain full guard but Gracie has managed to sneak the leg through.
Gracie stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows marlow to get to his feet.
marlow stuffs the takedown attempt from Gracie. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet.

and marlow counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by marlow.

marlow is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gracie is controlling him.
Gracie slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Gracie goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, marlow has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Gracie but great work by marlow.
marlow tries to advance to mount but Gracie denies him.
Gracie tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Gracie is breathing heavily.
Gracie on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
marlow is looking to take a break and control but Gracie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Gracie gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
marlow really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gracie wants to improve his position but marlow is controlling well.

marlow wants to pass the guard but Gracie is defending well.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Gracie is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but marlow pulls his head out easily.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
No luck for Gracie with that takedown attempt.
