The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hickling closes the distance and clinches.
Hamilton is working for takedown but Hickling is calmly controlling the position for now.

Hickling manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hickling can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hickling really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hamilton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hamilton looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Hickling wants to control but Hamilton is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Hamilton thows a huge punch but Hickling dodges it nicely.

Hamilton is nestled in close to Hickling, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hamilton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hamilton seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hamilton connects with a nice short shot to Hickling's temple.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Hamilton! Hickling is hurt baaadly! Hamilton is firing away with more strikes - Hickling is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
