The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Adams.
A jab from Lopez misses.
Adams drops down looking for a counter takedown but Lopez sprawls and moves away.

Adams changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lopez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Adams thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Adams tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Lopez regains half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lopez wants to get back to full guard.
Lopez throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Adams seems to be looking for submissions.
Lopez moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Lopez pulls Adams in close to his closed guard and prevents Adams from doing any damage or advancing position.

Adams is posturing up here but Lopez has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Adams tries to roll out but it's too tight and Adams has to tap! Slick submission there by Lopez!
