Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Fu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody Paris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fu comes to the cage accompanied by I think im turning Japanese. The key to victory for Bruce Fu has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bruce Fu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cody Paris!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Bruno Hogan and Topper Green.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fu displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Paris throws out the jab.
Paris throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fu's waist but Fu gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Paris off to one side.
Fu goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Fu scores with a head kick. Paris tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Fu throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Paris dives in for a single leg takedown but Fu sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Paris stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Fu.
Fu uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Paris.
Paris takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Paris drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Paris in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Paris postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Paris has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Paris has hold of Fu's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Fu tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Paris cranks the arm and Fu screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Fu, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Cody Paris!
Our winner, Cody Paris, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
