Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Landon Walter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for David Williams has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, David Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Landon Walter!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Fedor Mirinova and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walter tries to clinch up but Williams circles away and keeps his distance.
Williams fails in his attempt to clinch.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Walter.
Walter on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Williams feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Walter sprawling to the canvas! Walter rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Williams finish him?!

Walter seems to have recovered his senses.

Walter is looking to take a break and control but Williams is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Walter is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Williams doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Walter.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Williams tries to close the distance and clinch but Walter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Williams closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Williams wants to control but Walter is keeping him busy.

It looks like Williams is going to stand back up.
Williams tries to pass to full mount but Walter defends it.

Williams seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Walter does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Williams lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Williams is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Walter can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Williams can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Walter is looking to escape.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Walter wants to control but Williams is having none of it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Williams looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Williams shoots in looking for a takedown. Walter tries to sprawl out of it but Williams keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Walter manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Walter perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Williams wants to get back to full guard.
Walter is tying to control. Williams wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

That was a close second round but I would say that David Williams will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Walter doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Williams moves into the clinch.
