The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goyle misses with a two punch combination.
Filipovic lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
A combination from Goyle does no damage.
Filipovic throws a nice head kick!
It looks like Gar Goyle has been cut.
Goyle tries to bum rush Filipovic with a series of wild strikes but Filipovic uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sloppy strikes from Goyle. Those never looked like landing.
Filipovic is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Goyle.
Goyle swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Goyle feints a jab promting Filipovic to slip. Goyle then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Filipovic slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Goyle ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Filipovic pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Nice defenses there by Goyle.
Filipovic tries a head kick but it misses.
Filipovic throws a head kick but Goyle moves out of range.
Goyle lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Filipovic sprawling to the canvas. Goyle follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Filipovic hang on?
Filipovic is rocked!
Goyle decides to return to a standing position.
Filipovic is still on wobbly legs! Can Goyle finish him?
Filipovic backs away from a small jab... but Goyle lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Filipovic crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Goyle with a spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Gar Goyle!
Gar Goyle got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
