Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Margarito Byers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Tamboremano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Margarito Byers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tony Tamboremano!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Josh West and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
The fight stays on the outside here - Byers looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Tamboremano tries to bum rush Byers with a series of wild strikes but Byers uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A left and a right from Tamboremano both land. Nice combination.
It looks like Margarito Byers has been cut.
Tamboremano feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Byers is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tamboremano defends well.
Byers has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Tamboremano is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Byers.

Byers manages to work his way to half guard, despite Tamboremano's best efforts.
Byers is looking to improve his position.
Tamboremano is working for a submission of some sort.
Byers might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Byers is pressing down on Tamboremano's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Byers wants to get back to his feet but Tamboremano is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Tamboremano is pushing down on Byers's leg trying to pass to half guard. Byers is fighting to maintain full guard but Tamboremano has managed to sneak the leg through.
Tamboremano tries to pass the half guard into mount. Byers knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Byers is not content to let Tamboremano control the position.
Byers has a hand on Tamboremano's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Tamboremano takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Byers knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tamboremano on the ground.
Byers is bucking up trying to escape but Tamboremano cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Tamboremano is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Byers is surviving well by controlling Tamboremano's body position as best he can.

Tamboremano has the hooks in. Byers is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tamboremano is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Byers with him. Byers is trying to defend but Tamboremano has an arm under the chin now! Byers grimaces and is forced to tap out!
