The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cherry shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Belphegor as he jumps to the side.
Cherry scores with a jab.

It looks like Xavier Belphegor has been cut.
Belphegor wants to clinch.
Belphegor lands with a nice combination. Cherry backs away looking to recover.
Cherry pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Belphegor steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cherry.

Cherry's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Xavier Belphegor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Belphegor changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cherry tries to avoid it but Belphegor manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cherry to the ground. Cherry escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Belphegor closes the distance and clinches up with Cherry, looking for a takedown. Belphegor pushes Cherry against the cage but Cherry circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Cherry lands a hook that snaps the head of Belphegor backwards.

Cherry decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Cherry tries to bum rush Belphegor with a series of wild strikes but Belphegor uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Belphegor throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Cherry needs to keep his hands up - Belphegor had a free shot at his head there.

and Cherry counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Belphegor is lucky that one didn't land flush.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Belphegor. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

and Cherry counters with a huge left! Belphegor is in big trouble! He's backing up but Cherry isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Belphegor from any more damage. A dominating finish by Cherry!
