Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between King Mejia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tod Paris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, King Mejia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tod Paris!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Paris closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Mejia quickly recovers to half guard.
Mejia is staying active underneath Paris, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Mejia avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Paris.
Paris looks to land a strike but Mejia avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Paris throwing strikes but missing.
Paris is looking to work some ground and pound but Mejia has wrist control.
Mejia keeping moving, preventing Paris from controlling successfully.
Mejia avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Paris trying to control but Mejia is working from the bottom.
Paris trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Paris throwing strikes from guard but Mejia blocks nicely.

Paris is looking to pass into half guard but Mejia pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Mejia is in guard.

Paris controlling the position.
Mejia sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Paris looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mejia is one step ahead there.
Mejia will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Paris wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Mejia is looking to stand up but Paris won't let him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Paris bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mejia's guard.

Mejia looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Paris throws a big elbow that misses.
Paris wants to control from the top but Mejia keeps moving.
Mejia is trying to keep Paris in close.
Paris lands a couple of digs.
Paris postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Paris forces his way into half guard.
Mejia wants to improve his position but Paris is controlling well.
Mejia is breathing heavily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Paris is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Paris misses with a head shot. Mejia uses the momentum to regain guard.
Mejia avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Paris throws a big right hand that misses.
Paris in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Paris stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mejia swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Paris is in close to Mejia's body, working some short punches and elbows.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Paris postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Paris is working Mejia over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Paris stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mejia swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Paris wants to control from the top but Mejia keeps moving.
Paris with a flurry of punches that miss.
Paris throwing strikes from guard but Mejia blocks nicely.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tod Paris dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Paris shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Paris was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Paris looking to control but instead Mejia has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Paris is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.


Mejia is rocked!
Paris is nestled in close to Mejia, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Oh Mejia is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Paris scores with a big shot! Mejia's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Mejia! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tod Paris!
