The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khashukaev connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Khashukaev shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mamaev's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mamaev is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Khashukaev got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mamaev has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Khashukaev has managed to get both his arms back between Mamaev's legs - danger averted.

Khashukaev arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Mamaev's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Kantemir Khashukaev decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
