Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bart The One (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shorty Sanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bart The One!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Shorty Sanders!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The One tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sanders swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The One misses with a head kick.
The One tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
The One waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Sanders.

Sanders scores with a takedown into The One's guard.
Sanders looking to pass the guard.
Sanders lands a couple of digs.
The One controls Sanders momentarily but Sanders frees himself.
Sanders lands a couple of elbows.
Sanders trying to control the position from guard on top but The One is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sanders is working The One over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Sanders trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The One wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Sanders is now in half guard.
The One wants to get back to full guard.
The One is refusing to be controlled, as Sanders sits in half guard.
Sanders lands with a punch from half guard.
Sanders passes to side control.
The One is looking for a sweep.
Sanders works to advance to full mount. The One defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Sanders goes for an armbar but The One turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from The One.
Sanders looks gassed!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The One stopping the sweep attempt from Sanders.
Sanders looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but The One puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
The One is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

The One is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Sanders sees it coming and defends easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The One is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sanders doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time The One.
Sanders desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Sanders moves into full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sanders manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The One takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Sanders with the ground and pound from mount.
The One is looking to get to half guard.
The One taking shots to the head.
Sanders has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Sanders can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as The One is looking to escape.
The One is trying to escape the mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shorty Sanders dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


The One throws a head kick that misses.
Sanders fails to land the takedown.
Sanders shoots for a takedown but The One saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
The One is looking to clinch but Sanders is avoiding it.
The One throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Sanders.
The One stuffs the takedown attempt from Sanders. Sanders gets slowly back to his feet.
Bart The One has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shorty Sanders.
The One just misses with a punch to the body.
Sanders avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
The One works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
The One stuffs the takedown attempt from Sanders. Sanders gets slowly back to his feet.
The One fails in his attempt to clinch.
The One swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Sanders.
Sanders takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
The One throws a sloppy head kick and Sanders moves out of range easily.

Sanders closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sanders drops an elbow to the side of The One's head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sanders working the head and body with strikes.
The One wants to control but Sanders is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Ground and pound from Sanders.
Sanders slips a nice elbow through The One's hands, connecting with The One's forehead.
Sanders wants to free his trapped foot but The One is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Sanders working over The One with some ground and pound. The One looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sanders trying to control from half guard but The One is working away.
Sanders might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control The One kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
The One tries to clinch up but Sanders circles away and keeps his distance.
Sanders looks for a takedown but The One sprawls well.
The One pulls out of a head kick attempt.
No luck for Sanders with that takedown attempt.

Sanders drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Sanders lands a couple of elbows.
Sanders sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed The One's guard.
Sanders is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
The One pushes Sanders off looking to stand but Sanders dives back in and keeps control.
Sanders looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sanders trying to pass the guard but The One defending well.
Sanders trying to control the pace.
The One tries to get to full guard but Sanders has control of the leg.
Sanders has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Sanders has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of The One's face.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Sanders controlling the pace for now.
The One taking shots to the head.
Sanders punishing his opponent with strikes.
The One wants to control but Sanders is having none of it.
Sanders cracks The One with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Sanders in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Shorty Sanders will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! The One's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


The One scores with a sloppy right hand. Sanders should have avoided that one.
The One tries to clinch up but Sanders circles away and keeps his distance.
The One tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sanders paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Sanders swats away the attempt to clinch by The One.
The One fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sanders manages to avoid it.

Sanders gets control of The One's arms and successfully pulls guard. Sanders will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The One trying to control the position from guard on top but Sanders is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Sanders looking for a guillotine here but The One defends easily.
The One advances position into side control!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sanders is looking for a sweep.
The One trying to control the action but Sanders is working from the bottom.
Sanders gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
The One wants to control but Sanders is keeping him busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sanders regains full guard. Nicely done.
Sanders wants to sweep but no luck.

Sanders had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. The One is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Sanders Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take The One's back instead.
Sanders gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
The One covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
Sanders connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for The One to escape the position.
Sanders lands strikes to the head.
The One rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sanders working over The One with some ground and pound. The One looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Sanders is taking a breather. The One says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Sanders moves into full mount! The One won't be happy about that!
Bart The One has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The One is working to get back to half guard.

Shorty Sanders is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Sanders cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Sanders controlling the pace for now.

And that's the end of the fight!
Shorty Sanders comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Sanders winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
