Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dmitry Muratov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cale Downes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dmitry Muratov looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cale Downes!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Downes shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Downes was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Muratov taking a bit of punishment here - Downes scoring with strikes.

Downes working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Muratov regains half guard there - taking advantage of Downes's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Downes looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Downes working over Muratov with some ground and pound. Muratov looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Downes keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Muratov tries to kick Downes off but Downes keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Muratov on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Well, if Downes is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Muratov is looking to escape.
Muratov is breathing heavily.
Downes takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Downes is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Muratov sees it coming and defends easily.

Downes decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Downes lands with a thumping leg kick.
Muratov closes the distance and clinches up with Downes, looking for a takedown. Muratov pushes Downes against the cage but Downes circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Muratov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Downes shoots in and bounces Muratov off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Downes controlling from the top position.
Downes stands up over Muratov, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Downes decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Muratov, up you get!

Muratov tries to sprawl but Downes drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Downes is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Downes is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Downes takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Downes is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Muratov is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
