Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryson Ronld (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cathal Pendred (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pendred has chosen Put 'Em Under Pressure as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pendred gets tackled into the cage by Ronld. Ronld maintains the clinch.
Pendred tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ronld smiles and moves away.
Ronld tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pendred swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Pendred fails to land the takedown.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Ronld.
Ronld misses with a looping right.
Pendred dives in and grabs Ronld's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ronld pushes down on Pendred's head and hops out.

Pendred escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ronld shoots for a double leg takedown but Pendred sprawls well. He's pushed Ronld's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Ronld counters with a three punch combo that has Pendred backing up. Pendred nods at Ronld to acknowledge the strikes.

Ronld fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Pendred changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ronld tries to avoid it but Pendred manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ronld to the ground. Ronld escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ronld lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ronld.
Pendred avoids the head kick by Ronld.
Danga de danga de dang - Ronld scores with a four punch combination!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pendred shoots in looking for a takedown but Ronld manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pendred's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Horrible takedown attempt by Pendred or perhaps it was just good defense by Ronld, which made it look bad.
Ronld circles away from the clinch attempt.
Pendred tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ronld sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pendred somewhat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ryson Ronld will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Ronld lands a left and a right that send Pendred crashing to the mat, dazed. Ronld thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Pendred's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
