Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Leo Bertos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mike Silva has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Leo Bertos's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bertos takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Mike Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva misses with a looping right.
Silva throws a right hand that Bertos ducks under and follows up with a left that Bertos also avoids with ease.
Bertos displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Silva throws out the jab.
Silva throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Silva tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bertos was well out of range. Poor timing from Silva.
Silva throws a right and a left that both miss.

Bertos closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bertos lands in his opponent's guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Silva had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Bertos is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Silva Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Bertos's back instead.
Silva is trying to stick to Bertos's back but Bertos is turning into Silva. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Silva's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Bertos.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Silva throws an overhand right that lands on Bertos's shoulder, as Bertos tries to avoid the shot.

and Bertos decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silva's guard.
Silva can't keep his opponent in guard - Bertos advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Bertos wants to control the pace but Silva is squirming around nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Leo Bertos dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Silva loads up on a big right hand but Bertos slips the punch.
Silva looks to land a combination but Bertos avoids it well.

and Bertos counters with a nice double leg into side control. Silva won't be happy with that.
Bertos looks up at the clock and then as Silva takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Bertos smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Silva tries to buck Bertos off but Bertos is having none of it.
Silva takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Bertos has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Silva to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Bertos is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Silva pulls down on the head and he's put Bertos to sleep! This one is all over!
