Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wabricio Ferdum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kale Strong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ferdum comes into the arena with PARIS - the devil made me do it blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Strong moves into the clinch.

Ferdum is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Strong is looking for a kimura but Ferdum is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Strong to get the leverage.
Ferdum is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Ferdum manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Strong manages to get himself to full guard.

Strong is pulling down on Ferdum's head. It's preventing any offense from Ferdum, at least for the moment.
Our spies down at at BLOODSPORT GYM inform us that Strong has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Ferdum postures up in Strong's guard and throws a big left but Strong blocks it.

Strong can't keep his opponent in guard - Ferdum advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Strong pushes Ferdum off looking to stand but Ferdum dives back in and keeps control.

It looks like Kale Strong has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ferdum is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Strong defends it well.
Ferdum thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Strong is trying to stand up here but Ferdum is controlling him well.

Strong working for a triangle but Ferdum defends it easily.

Strong has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ferdum can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Ferdum wants to control from the top but Strong keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ferdum content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Strong has locked up a guillotine! Strong's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Ferdum is holding on here and Strong must be using up a lot of energy. Ferdum has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Strong gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
