Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Craig Sutherland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mickey Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mickey Rodriguez told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez misses with a double jab.
Sutherland looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Rodriguez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Rodriguez has managed to clinch.
Sutherland wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Rodriguez keeps control of Sutherland as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Sutherland pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Rodriguez counters by clinching up.
Rodriguez wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Rodriguez throws a right hand that Sutherland ducks under and follows up with a left that Sutherland also avoids with ease.

Rodriguez throws a nice looking combination but Sutherland bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Sutherland missing with a left hand there. Rodriguez was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

It looks like Craig Sutherland has been cut.
Rodriguez connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Sutherland tumbling to the canvas! Rodriguez pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Sutherland was done - good stoppage!
