Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Itula Maafala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Higgs Boson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 7 - 2, fighting out of New York, Itula Maafala!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 9 - 1, fighting out of New York, Higgs Boson!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Phil Schofield and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maafala tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Boson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Boson swats away the attempt to clinch by Maafala.
Maafala tries to close the distance and clinch but Boson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Boson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Maafala momentarily.
It looks like Itula Maafala has been cut.
Boson cracks Maafala with an uppercut from hell and Maafala crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Boson's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Maafala is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Boson has gone for a leg lock! Maafala slips out almost immediately though and dives into Boson's guard.
Boson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Maafala throws an elbow that misses. Boson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Maafala's guard. Nice move by Boson!

Boson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Maafala dives on top into guard.

Maafala loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Maafala is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

It looks like Higgs Boson has been cut.
Boson uses the cage to get back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Boson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
No luck for Maafala with that takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Boson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Maafala seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Sloppy strikes from Boson. Those never looked like landing.
Maafala has taken the fight to the clinch.
Maafala is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Boson is defending well for now.
Maafala lands a good knee to the midsection. Boson won't want to take too many of those.
Boson looks winded!
Maafala changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Boson fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Come on Maafala - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Boson takes a knee right on the jaw!

Maafala keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Boson's efforts to push away.

Maafala lands a good knee to the midsection. Boson won't want to take too many of those.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Boson is pressed up against the cage. Maafala has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Boson down to the mat. Boson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Itula Maafala. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Boson throws a body punch but Maafala moves out of range.
Maafala tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Boson manages to circle out of the way.
Maafala clinches.

Boson prevents a takedown attempt there.
Maafala drops Boson with a big knee straight up the middle! Boson is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Boson is rocked!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Itula Maafala will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Danga de danga de dang - Boson scores with a four punch combination!
Boson is still on wobbly legs! Can Maafala finish him?
Maafala gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Boson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Boson seems to have recovered his senses.
Maafala is struggling to control the position.
Maafala stalling the fight.

Maafala creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Boson with a big uppercut! Boson tries to clinch up but Maafala pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Boson to the mat! Boson covers up and Maafala unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Itula Maafala!
In defeat, Higgs Boson stepped up to the mic, saying 'Thank you to all the fans here tonight, I love you all!'.
