The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wyatt throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Wyatt shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Walters is looking to escape.
Walters manages to get to full guard.
Wyatt wanted to stand there but Walters had control of the position.

Walters closes the distance and clinches up with Wyatt, looking for a takedown. Walters pushes Wyatt against the cage but Wyatt circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Walters wants to get back to striking at distance but Wyatt won't allow it.

Walters looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wyatt is fending him off so far but Walters persists. Nope, Wyatt circles away and we're back to standing.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wyatt has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Walters is on him like a limpet, forcing Wyatt back against the cage.

Wyatt shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Wyatt was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Wyatt decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Wyatt throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Walters.

Walters fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wyatt, pushing him back against the cage.

Wyatt connects with a good right hand that stumbles Walters. Walters circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Walters needs to keep his hands up - Wyatt had a free shot at his head there.

Wyatt connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Walters momentarily.
Ryan Wyatt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wyatt throws a right and a left that Walters avoids nicely.

Walters tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Wyatt manages to circle out of the way.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Walters enables Wyatt to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Walters manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Walters has a closed guard, preventing Wyatt from standing up.

Wyatt goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Walters ducks right into an uppercut from Wyatt.

Walters is rocked!
Wyatt connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Walters tumbling to the canvas! Wyatt pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Walters was done - good stoppage!
