PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Viktor Kulakov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clayton Channings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kulakov comes to the cage accompanied by Lube-Shparu. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 50 - 45 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Viktor Kulakov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clayton Channings!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Channings scores with a punch to the head.
Channings misses with a series of wild punches.
Channings shoots in looking for a takedown but Kulakov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Channings's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Channings goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Channings fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kulakov.
Channings's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kulakov connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Channings scrambles back to his feet.
Kulakov swings for the body but Channings moves out of range.
Channings tries to counter by closing the distance.
Kulakov uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Channings has time to react.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Channings is nestled in close to Kulakov, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
