Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hugo Wolf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Wonstom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wonstom has chosen Avenged Sevenfold - Lips Of Deceit as his entrance music. Hugo Wolf has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hugo Wolf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ivan Wonstom!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wolf on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Wolf shoots in for a double leg but Wonstom sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Wolf looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Despite the aggression on Wonstom's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

A low kick from Wonstom is predictable there

and Wolf counters by moving into the clinch.

Wonstom escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wonstom misses with a straight right.
Wonstom looks to land a left hand but Wolf moved out of range nicely.
Wolf tries to counter with a takedown but Wonstom is quick to defend against it.
Wonstom connects with a leg kick. Wolf looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Wonstom throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Wolf tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Wonstom manages to circle out of the way.
Wolf slips a jab and a cross from Wonstom.
Wolf drops down looking for a counter takedown but Wonstom sprawls and moves away.
Wolf staying out of range there.
Ivan Wonstom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wonstom darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wonstom throws a series of punches but Wolf avoids them all with ease.
Wolf fails with a takedown attempt.

Wonstom loads up on a big right hand but Wolf slips the punch.
Wolf feinted with a counter takedown.
Wonstom fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Wolf on the side of the head.

Wolf gets a double leg takedown into Wonstom's guard.
Wonstom is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Wolf makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Wolf is looking to work some ground and pound but Wonstom has wrist control.
Wolf has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Wolf trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Wolf is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Wonstom is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Wonstom has escaped and now he's on top!

Wolf looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Wolf looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Wonstom slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Wolf.
Wolf is positioning himself well to prevent Wonstom advancing to mount.
Wolf moves into full guard.

Wolf is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wonstom is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Wolf has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wonstom can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Wolf looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wonstom is one step ahead there.
Wonstom would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Wonstom must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Wolf is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Wolf wants to sweep here but Wonstom controlling him for the moment.
Wolf is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Wolf thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Wonstom's head.

Wolf is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Wonstom sees it coming and defends easily.
Wolf stops Wonstom from getting back to his feet.

Wolf looking for a submission but Wonstom manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.

Wolf with a flurry of punches that miss.
Wonstom wants to stand and escape but Wolf is having none of it.
Wolf is in close to Wonstom's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Wolf postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Wolf lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Wolf working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Wonstom's head.
Wolf stands up over Wonstom, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Wolf in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Wonstom wants to stand but Wolf is controlling the position.
Wolf is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Wonstom wants to stand and escape but Wolf is having none of it.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ivan Wonstom will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Wolf closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wonstom circles away.
Wolf gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Wonstom lunges at Wolf with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Wolf's hand.
Wolf shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wonstom as he avoids it easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wolf.

Wonstom fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Ivan Wonstom seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Wonstom tries to bum rush Wolf with a series of wild strikes but Wolf uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Wonstom misses with an uppercut

and Wolf counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Wolf connects with a couple of short punches.
Wolf missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wonstom is looking to stand up but Wolf isn't so interested in that idea.
Hugo Wolf overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Wonstom utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Wolf working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Wonstom scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Wolf takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
No joy there for Wonstom, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ivan Wonstom is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wonstom lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wolf.
A good leg kick by Wonstom.
Wonstom fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wolf changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Wonstom scores with the left hand. Wolf knows he should have avoided that one.


Wolf is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wonstom thuds a left hand into Wolf's body.
Wolf looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wonstom is fending him off so far but Wolf persists. Nope, Wonstom circles away and we're back to standing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wolf drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Oh Wolf is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wolf is starting to get sloppy and is letting his hands down. Wonstom just took advantage and landed a stinging jab. Oh! Now a right hook, right on the button! Wolf has gone limp and this one is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ivan Wonstom!
Ivan Wonstom decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
