The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ragnaar throws a looping overhand right but Brophy ducks down to avoid it.
Ragnaar bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Brophy's head.
Ragnaar has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Brophy is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Ragnaar tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Brophy is able to avoid easily.
A big right from Brophy misses.
Brophy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ragnaar was well out of range. Poor timing from Brophy.
Ragnaar throws a half hearted mid kick.
Ragnaar fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Brophy checks it well.

Ragnaar fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Brophy.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brophy looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Ragnaar throws the left hand but Brophy avoids the punch easily.
Brophy goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Ragnaar throws a lazy right hand but Brophy sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Ragnaar throws a jab but it's blocked by Brophy.
Ragnaar throws a head kick but Brophy moves out of range.

Brophy lands a big right hand that sends Ragnaar crashing to the mat! Brophy stays standing though and waves Ragnaar back to his feet!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ragnaar lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ragnaar goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Brophy jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Brophy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ragnaar fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Brophy is out of range.

and Brophy counters with a nice leg kick.
Brophy throws a hook to the side of Ragnaar's head but Ragnaar sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Brophy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Ragnaar tried to score with a low kick but Brophy checks it.
Brophy throws a shot from downtown. Ragnaar moves away and avoids it.

Ivar Ragnaar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brophy jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Ragnaar throws a leg kick
enabling Brophy to counter with a crisp jab.
Brophy explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Brophy looks to land a left hand but Ragnaar moved out of range nicely.
Ragnaar appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Ragnaar misses with a low kick.

Brophy takes the fight into the clinch.
Brophy lands with a short shot to the head.

Brophy drops Ragnaar onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Ragnaar is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Ragnaar is rocked!
Ragnaar looks winded!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Brophy creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Ragnaar with a big uppercut! Ragnaar tries to clinch up but Brophy pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Ragnaar to the mat! Ragnaar covers up and Brophy unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Red Brophy!
A relieved looking Red Brophy thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
