Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Newton Dorsey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Cawood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jacob Cawood acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Newton Dorsey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacob Cawood!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cawood closes the distance and pushes Dorsey back into the cage.
Cawood blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Cawood drags the fight down to the ground.
Dorsey throwing strikes from guard but Cawood blocks nicely.
Cawood manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dorsey manages to get himself to full guard.

Dorsey knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cawood on the ground.

Cawood is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Cawood fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dorsey avoids it really well and circles away.

Dorsey gets tackled into the cage by Cawood. Cawood maintains the clinch.

With the fighters up against the cage, Dorsey throws an elbow but misses.

Cawood throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Dorsey stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Dorsey tries for a takedown but Cawood sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Dorsey changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cawood tries to avoid it but Dorsey manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cawood to the ground. Cawood escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Dorsey counters with a one-two to the body.
Jacob Cawood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cawood shoots in for a takedown but Dorsey shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Dorsey went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

and Dorsey counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cawood shoots in looking for a takedown. Dorsey tries to sprawl out of it but Cawood keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dorsey manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
As Cawood looks to move away, Dorsey throws a big counter combo but Cawood just gets out of the way.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Newton Dorsey will probably get the nod.

and Dorsey counters with a three punch combo that has Cawood backing up. Cawood nods at Dorsey to acknowledge the strikes.
Cawood tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Cawood tries to land a front kick but Dorsey steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
