Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Osama Akharraz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeshi Makunouchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makunouchi takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Takeshi Makunouchi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Makunouchi just misses with a punch to the body.
It looked like Akharraz was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Horrible takedown attempt by Akharraz or perhaps it was just good defense by Makunouchi, which made it look bad.
Akharraz clobbers Makunouchi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Akharraz seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nice uppercut lands for Makunouchi. That snapped Akharraz's head back.
Akharraz ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
As Makunouchi looks to move away, Akharraz throws a big counter combo but Makunouchi just gets out of the way.
Akharraz throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Makunouchi on the side of the head.
Makunouchi misses with a hook.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Akharraz dances in with a quick combination. Makunouchi is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Akharraz snaps Makunouchi's head back. Makunouchi stumbles backwards against the ropes. Akharraz steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Makunouchi's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Makunouchi just didn't come prepared.
