Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Silvan Wiltord (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stratovarius Smiff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wiltord decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Wiltord is looking to take a break and control but Smiff is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Smiff is looking to improve his position.

Wiltord is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Smiff sees it coming and defends easily.
Smiff works his way to full guard. Good work.
Wiltord wants to control from the top but Smiff keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wiltord is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Smiff is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Smiff has escaped and now he's on top!

Wiltord has his foot on Smiff's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Smiff works his way back into a safe position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Smiff avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Wiltord working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Smiff doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Smiff manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

A relieved looking Silvan Wiltord thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
